Aktobe rail plant initiates the exports of products

aktobe-rails_01nKazakhstan’s Aktobe rail and girder plant starts the export of its products, Development Bank of Kazakhstan (KDB), which financed the plant construction, announced.
The rails produced in Aktobe are certified in conformity with the Russian Federation standard (R 51685-2013 Russian State Standard (GOST).
From 2017 onwards the Aktobe rail plant intends to produce rails to be in compliance with the requirements of UIC-60 European standard. “Production of rails of UIC-60 category will allow ARBZ company to make export deliveries to Iran, European countries and Arab Emirates”, the company said.
„Generally, after reaching the full designed capacity in 2018 the plant will produce 430 000 tons of rolled products per year including 200 000 tons of heat-strengthened long (up to 120 m) rails for high-speed trunks and 230 000 tons of sections for construction sector”, Marat Ibragimov, First Deputy General Director of Aktobe rail plant said.

Starting November 9, Aktobe rail plant delivered the first rails to Uzbekistan Railways, and until the end of 2016, they expect to deliver 5000 tons of rails.
Also, by the end of 2016, Aktobe rail plant expects to produce up to 80.000 tons of rails (120 m long), of which 90% are to be delivered to Kazakhstan Railways (KTZ) and the remaining volume will be delivered to neighbouring countries.

Aktobe Rail and Section Works (ARBZ ) is an enterprise founded by Kazakhstan Railways in cooperation with private investors under State Program of Accelerated Industrial and Innovative Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2010-2014.
The main activity of ARBZ is setup for production of rails for construction of high-speed trunk railway lines as well as provision of domestic enterprises with high-quality products in compliance with worldwide standards.

Aktobe Rail and Section Works LLP will produce extended 120-meter rails which are considered to be one-of-a-kind within the CIS and designed for high-speed rail networks.
