Czech railway infrastructure manager SZDC officially completed the construction of supply substations (SST) Chomutov and Most. The new substations are crucial to ensure safety and reliable operation on appropriate sections.
The subject of both projects was the reconstruction of individual technological equipment of the substations and SST operational buildings, low-voltage distribution, lighting and sewerage. The construction also included a modification driveways, paved areas and laying of communication cables.
Complete reconstruction and modernisation of buildings has contributed primarily to the increase in SST performance with respect to the growing demands for energy supply of railway lines. Following the implementation of the projects, demands for increased reliability of rail transport in the respective sections under all circumstances will be also met, whether in terms of increased traffic, adverse weather conditions or power outages at neighbouring supply stations.
The project was co-financed under the Operational Programme Transport by the European Union.
