On October 21, Alstom has presented its Coradia Meridian Jazz for Autonomous province of Trento, the first on the six Jazz EMUs for the province. EUR 180.4 million is the value of the contract signed. According to the province’s officials, by November, three Jazz EMUs will be put into service.
The train has up to 300 seats, depending on its configuration (with 4 or 5 units) and special places for 24 bicycles, with 16 more spaces (for bicycles) than currently trains.
With these new trains, Trentino’s citizens will have better transport services and we believe in a mobility that has an oriented increase in railway transport, Trentino governor, Ugo Rossi said during the official ceremony.
