By autumn of 2017, all metro stations in Moscow will be equipped with countdown panels displaying the time remaining before train arrivals. Tenders for the supply of electronic screens will be announced before the end of this year.
Currently, these panels are functioning at the Prospekt Mira station, on the Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya Line.
Currently station panels show how much time has elapsed since the last train departure. These screens will not be dismantled. So far information on the minutes and seconds before the next train arrival is available at several stations.
“All metro stations will be equipped with these panels before the end of summer 2017” said Deputy Mayor and Head of the Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development Maxim Liksutov.
