NSW Government appointed Arup as the infrastructure technical advisor for Parramatta LRT project. Under the contract, the company will provide consultation across all technical disciplines and urban design aspirations for the corridor.
Parramatta Light Rail will support that growth, better connecting surrounding suburbs, and linking important social infrastructure precincts including Westmead Hospital, Sydney Olympic Park, and the campuses of Western Sydney University.
Parramatta LRT will serve the Greater Parramatta to Olympic Peninsula Priority Growth Area, on a 20 km corridor.
Procurement for construction contracts is planned for 2017, with construction to start in late 2018.
