Transport for New South Wales announced that the installation of a new light rail bridge over the Eastern Distributor connecting Surry Hills and Moore Park is forging ahead, with work due for completion by the end of the week. “The Eastern Distributor Bridge will connect the missing link of the route between the CBD and the South East, and enables crews to continue tunnelling in Moore Park and expand construction in Surry Hills,” Minister for Transport and Infrastructure Andrew Constance said.
Currently, as part of Sydney LRT project, from the City to the South East, more than 7 km of the 12 km route are under construction.
Major construction of the CBD and South East Light Rail started in October 2015 with services to begin operating in 2019.
