Ukrainian rail company Ukrzaliznytsia soon intends to sign a contract to carry out construction works on over 300-km railway tracks with the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development of Iran, according to the company’s Board Chairman Wojciech Balczun, Interfax reports.
“We quickly worked with the agreement of the Infrastructure Ministry of Ukraine and Ministry of Roads and Urban Development of Iran. We were authorized to sign the relevant contract that would be signed soon,” he said.
“Around 100 employees of the Prydniprovsky regional branch of Ukrzaliznytsia would lay assembled rails and sleepers on 165 km of tracks, install 138 switch sets and lay continuous welded rail on 176 km,” Wojciech Balczun added.
