In the first half of 2016, RZD has invested more than RUB 779 million (10.7 million euros) in the comprehensive reconstruction of the 9 km Yurovsky-Anapa-Temryuk-Kavkaz section of North Caucasus Railways. The total amount earmarked for this project this year exceeds RUB 3 billion (41.1 million euros).
The reconstruction of this section will reduce train travel times and increase the throughput of this sections from 35 to 123 train pairs per day by 2018.
