The European Commission approved the financing demand worth EUR 440 million for the modernisation of Apata-Cata railway section, part of CEF.
The EU financing represents 81.74% of the total investment (EUR 538.3 million). Co-financing will be ensured from the state budget, EUR 98.3 million for 2016-2020 and EUR 167.57 million for 2021-2023.
