Transdev opened a branch in Casablanca through its subsidiary Transamo Trans Assistance ownership. According to Telquel the main objective of Transamo, a French company that offers planning and guiding through public transport projects, will be to conduct studies and engineering work in addition to auditing and optimization operations and maintenance for the transport network.
Transdev operated the first 20-kilometer tramway network of Rabat – Sale in Morocco for a renewable contract of six years awarded in 2010 with operations starting in May 2011.
Transdev is Morocco’s first light rail service. Until Veolia Trasdev’s rebranding to Transdev in 2013 the Moroccan tramway was operated under the old Transdev name and logo.
With 86000 employees in 20 countries the company operates 48000 vehicles and 23 light rail networks.
