AlpTransit announced that has launched the first freight train that runs through the completed Gotthard Base Tunnel. This test should be completed in May 2016.
This test marks a new milestone of the world’s longest rail tunnel, which was launched in October 2015.
Over the next few weeks, further tests will look at driving dynamics and journey times.
