Starting January 11th, passengers travelling between Gatwick Airport and five Surrey railway stations are able to use Oyster card.
The introduction of the pay-as-you-go Oyster and Contactless scheme will see ticket facilities at five Surrey stations along the Gatwick Airport to London line upgraded. These stations are Horley, Salfords, Earlswood, Redhill and Merstham. The service will affect rail users on Southern, Gatwick Express and Thameslink services. Contactless payment aims to provide more convenient journeys for passengers by reducing crowding at stations, enabling better connections to and from London’s transport network and other National Rail services.
