The Russian government is to start subsidizing the tourist project ‘Tea Express’ running in the North Caucasus, the Committee for Tourism of Ingushetia reported.
‘Tea Express’ is a joint initiative of the Ministry of Culture of Russia, the North Caucasus Federal District regions and the Russian Railways (RZD) which has been implemented since April last year. The tourist train is part of the North Caucasus section of the New Silk Road, which runs through Ingushetia, Chechnya, Dagestan, North Ossetia, Stavropol Territory and the Rostov region. The cost of a ticket on it is about 15 thousand rubles (USD 198).
