Philippines Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) launched the tender on Manila Light Rail Transit (LRT) Line 6 project valuated at PhP 65.09 billion (USD 1.4 billion).
Line 6 project involves the construction of 19 km and 7 station. The line will link Niyog with Dasmariñas City, that will be connected to the LRT-1 Cavite extension.
Under a 30 year concession agreement, the private partner will finance, design, construct, operate and maintain, and procure the rolling stock for the LRT system.
Bid documents will be made available to interested companies until March 4, 2016.
The project will be procured following a competitive two-stage public bidding process.
