General Director of RZD International Sergei Pavlov and Director of Serbian Railways Goran Maksić signed a Memorandum of Strategic Partnership. ”Russian Railways plays a very important role in transportation. We are investing in our railways for the first time in 30 years, and are achieving better and better results. We are ready to invite Russian companies to build infrastructure facilities. It seems that the doors for our companies are also open in Russia,” Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić said, during a meeting with his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev.
Under the memorandum, the two parties agreed to implement railway projects in Serbia. The Russian rail companies will be involved in modernization and maintenance of Serbian railway infrastructure.
