Alstom Transport has inaugurated a new global IT centre at its Bengaluru site. The new hub is another step towards the company’s strategy to leverage India as a key centre for core business delivery.
The new centre, hosting over 150 employees, will play a vital role as the global centre for IT operations and project delivery for Alstom. Operations related to IT systems such as data centre, business applications and networks will be carried out at the centre. The centre would be supported by Alstom’s global partners to deliver global IT operations and many key IT programmes.
Alstom Transport in India provides a complete range of systems, equipment and services in the railway sector. It comprises four businesses: Rolling stock & Components, Systems & Infrastructure, Transport Information Solutions and Train Life Services.
