Azerbaijan Railways intends to order at least 10 diesel locomotives from Kazakhstan Railways, according to Azerbaijan Railways Chairman Djavid Gurbanov. The company ordered 50 electric locomotives from Kazakhstan last year, manufactured by TOO Electrovoz Kurastyru Zauyty. Azerbaijan Railways is currently trying to solve the issue of financing the acquisition and sign a new contract, Djavid Gurbanov added.
