Metrorex will contract consultancy services for the acquisition and beginning of operation of 37 new trains designed to run on the future Line V and the extension of the current fleet of underground trains. The contract is estimated at RON 2.34 Million, VAT excluded, according to an announcement made by Metrorex and published on the website of public acquisitions, e-licitatie.ro.
“Considering the fact that these trains will serve both the currently in exploitation underground network, as well as the first section of Line V, Râul Doamnei – Universitate (including Romancierilor – Valea Ialomiţei ramification), the consultant will establish and present the best solutions for the acquisition of these trains with the possibility to buy these vehicles in two different lots”, reported Metrorex, quoted by cotidianul.ro.
Therefore, 16 new underground trains will be bought for the current network (96 cars) and 21 trains for Line V (126 cars).
The contract is valid for 61 months and it is financed through reimbursable external funds. To participate in the tender, the interested companies have to deposit a RON 25,000 guarantee and to have an average turnover in the past three years of at least RON 4.6 Million.
Offers will open starting with September 28 and the attribution criterion is the lowest price. Economic operators are obliged to legalize their association, shows the announcement made by Metrorex. (E.I.)
