Azerbaijan Railways has reduced the tariffs for container and freight car transportation by 50 percent and 35 percent, respectively, spokesperson of the company Nadir Azmammadov told Trend.
The decision has been made in order to stimulate all types of transit, export and import container transportations, he said.
Negotiations between the heads of the railways of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Russia, Turkey, Georgia and major logistics companies in the region were held before the adoption of the decision on reducing the tariffs.
