The total revenues for 2014 of Russian Railways Group increased by 1.3% year-on-year to 1796.2 billion rubles (USD 35 billion) comparing to 1773.6 billion rubles (USD 34.7 billion) for the year 2013.
The key driver of the Group’s total revenue was the increased revenues in logistics segment. The share of logistics’ revenues amounted to 12.3% of the consolidated sales comparing to 10.1% a year ago.
Freight revenues grew by 0.3% and for the logistics segment, the revenues increased
The Group’s operating costs (adjusted by loss on impairment of fixed assets) grew by 1.1% year-on-year to 1 714.9 billion rubles (USD 33.5 billion) with cargo turnover raised by 5%. Major drivers of costs’ growth were increase in depreciation and amortization and higher electricity costs.
