A bullet train is on trial operation on Hefei-Fuzhou rail line. The railway is part of the Beijing-Fuzhou High-Speed Railway and has 808 km. With a projected speed of 300 kilometers per hour, the railway will cut travel time between Fuzhou and Beijing from 20 hours to 7 hours.
If the trial goes right, commercial services will be launched in June.
The construction of the railway kicked off on Sept 30, 2010.
