The metro lines 1 and 2 on Riyadh’s Public Transport Project (RPTP) will be equipped with heat-treated premium rails from voestalpine Schienen GmbH, and turnouts and signaling technology from the voestalpine VAE Group. The first deliveries are scheduled for the beginning of 2015 and will be completed by April 2016. voestalpine has already supplied more than 100,000 tons of rails to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This new contract adds more than 21,000 tons to this total.
