Indian Railways will form a core committee to examine suggestions and address the issues raised by investors in an effort to bring in private investment in its key infrastructure projects. The panel will include senior railway officials. The suggestions came from various sectors including coal, iron ore, cement, wagon manufacturers, and freight operators. These suggestions included relaxing the wagon policy, clarity in Public Private Partnership (PPP) schemes, and consistency in the approach towards private investment.
