SNCF has given approval to TTG Transportation Technology, Australia, to provide more than 1500 TGV drivers with hand-held Energymiser Driver Advisory System devices.
TTG won the contract last year but had to complete a seven-month proof of concept assessment jointly with SNCF on two routes from Marne-la-Vallee east of Paris to Marseille and Montpellier.
The system is being deployed as part of SNCF’s programme to improve punctuality and reduce energy consumption.
