Bahraini investment firm Arcapita, the owner of Freightliner Group Ltd., has put the U.K. rail-freight company up for sale, according to sources quoted by the Wall Street Journal. The transaction could fetch approximately 400 million pounds (500 million euros), according to the same sources. Arcapita bought Freightliner Group in 2008.
Freightliner Group operates in the U.K., the Netherlands, Poland and Australia. The company was formed in 1996 as part of the privatization of British Rail.
