Rotterdam Central Station receives Brunel Award

Rotterdam Central Station won the prestigious Brunel Award. The Jury named the station an “eye catcher” and described it as “a new monument that is in harmony with the urban environment”.
The Dutch railway sector also received an award for railway architecture and design: the ‘Overall Brunel Jury Award’, was presented to ProRail and NS.
The Brunel Awards are presented once every three years by the Watford Group and UIC (International Union of Railways). They are international incentive awards for excellent commissioning in railway architecture and design globally and are named after the famous British engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel.
