The volume of Moldova’s combined railway, road, river and air freight traffic through September rose 6.6% on the year to some 9.95 million tonnes.
Calculated in freight tonne-kilometres (FTK), traffic fell 4.9% to some 2.985 billion FTK in the first nine months of the year.
Road transport continues to rank first with a total of 6.05 Million tonnes of freight carried and a 13% increase. Railway transport ranks second with 3.7 million tonnes of freight. However, on this segment, the evolution dropped compared to last year tp -3.3%.
