The Bulgarian interim government has accelerated preparations for signing the EIB agreement in order to obtain a EUR 500 Million loan. The loan will be used to refinance and co-finance the infrastructure projects implemented with EU funds through the Cohesion Fund in the programming period 2014-2020.
The loan agreement was drafted during the Government led by Plamen Oresharski in 2013, but was not ratified. The agreement will be finalised by the future government and will be ratified by the new Parliament.
