Funding under the Targeted Investment Programme for 2014-2017 will reach approximately 1.5 trillion roubles (USD 37B), Sergei Sobyanin said at a meeting of the Moscow Government’s Presidium.
Deputy Mayor for Urban Development and Construction Marat Khusnullin said a large part of funds under the programme in 2014-2017 would be invested in transport infrastructure. “Allocations will exceed 1 trillion roubles (USD 25B), or nearly 70 percent of the total. Of this, over 600 billion roubles (USD 15B) will be invested in the construction of new metro lines,” he said.
Marat Khusnullin said that 934 new facilities would be built under the programme, which translates into “76 kilometres of new metro lines, 40 stations and seven depots. This is three times more than we built in 2010-2013.”
