The Moscow Government has approved a plan for the projected section of the Third Interchange Circuit between Prospekt Vernadskogo and Kakhovskaya stations.
The project includes a 6.8 km metro line and three stations — Ulitsa Novatorov, Kaluzhskaya and Zyuzino — with six new underground entrance halls.
The new section is expected to go on stream in 2018, Deputy Mayor for Urban Development and Construction Marat Khusnullin said.
Ulitsa Novatorov station is expected to serve 320,000 passengers daily, Kaluzhskaya — 190,000 and Zyuzino — 120,000.
