Russia will build the bridge across the Kerch Strait by the end of 2018. ”We plan to implement another highly complex bridge-building project by the end of 2018 – the bridge across the Kerch Strait,” said Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Meeting of the State Council Presidium.
On August 2014, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak, said that Russia will build the Kerch bridge at the expense of the budget, without the involvement of foreign investors and money from the National Welfare Fund, but with the help of foreign construction workers. Federal Government, specifically the Ministry of Transport, Rosavtodor, will become an investor.
