SNCB and SNCF Voyageurs are opening reservations this Thursday, December 5, for the new classic Brussels-Paris train, for journeys starting Thursday, December 19, 2024.
Thanks to a collaboration between SNCB and SNCF Voyageurs, travellers travelling between Brussels and Paris will be able to count on a new rail link from Thursday 19 December. This will complement the high-speed links between Brussels and the main French cities.
These OUIGO trains on classic lines will run between the Paris Nord and Brussels-Midi stations, and will also serve the French cities of Creil, Aulnoye-Aymeries and, in Belgium, Mons.
This offer will connect the two capitals in 3 hours, with three daily return trips in each direction at key times of the day: in the morning, at midday and in the early evening.
Prices will range from EUR 10 to EUR 59 one way (and a fixed price for children under 12: EUR 8 for a trip between France and Belgium).
In Belgium, tickets are available by reservation on the SNCB International website and app, as well as on all SNCB international sales channels. In France, tickets are available on OUIGO.com, on the OUIGO app, on the SNCF Connect website and app and from approved online travel agencies.

“This new connection is part of SNCB’s desire to offer its customers access to eco-friendly travel across Europe. The carbon footprint of a traveler on board one of our new trains between Brussels and Paris will in fact be 7 times smaller than a traveler making the same journey by road. This new connection also strengthens our offer between Belgium and France, both with Paris, which remains SNCB’s international destination most requested by our travelers, and at the cross-border level with a direct link between Mons and the Hauts-de-France region,” said Olivier Piron, Head of International Alliances at SNCB.
A cross-border service
This new line also strengthens the network between Belgium and France by connecting Mons not only directly to Paris, but also to the neighboring Hauts-de-France basin with Aulnoye. It thus allows an international opening for all the cities served. It also confirms the position of Brussels-Midi as an international hub, a station at the heart of Europe where more than 160,000 travelers pass through every day.
The traveler benefits from a reserved seat and can take one piece of hand luggage as well as one piece of cabin luggage. The additional luggage will be offered at launch (with a limit of 2 additional bags).
Children under 4 years old will travel for free. As for children aged 4 to 12, they will benefit from a fixed price: EUR 8 for a trip between Belgium and France.
SNCB and SNCF Voyageurs continue to give pride of place to bicycles: the option for a bicycle dismantled and stored under a cover will be offered at launch.
Tickets are exchangeable in the event of a change of schedule and/or date, for the same destination, subject to an exchange fee and payment of any price difference between the two tickets.
“After the success of Ouigo Train Classique in France for 2 years, we are proud to develop the low-priced Train Classique in Belgium, in cooperation with SNCB! More than 350,000 seats will be available at a very low price for your trips between Paris and Brussels until March 31,” Jérôme Laffon, director of OUIGO, said.
