PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe and SNCF-Reseau signed a cooperation agreement under which the two rail infrastructure managers will exchange their experience and information in the field of rail traffic management, investment and implementation of the European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS).
The two companies will work together for the implementation of the ERTMS and operation of rail traffic management and the deployment of local control centers. The topics of the European Green Deal and the opportunities for rail development were also discussed. The issues of the European Commission’s proposal for new guidelines on the Trans-European Transport Network TEN-T were also important.
During the meeting, representatives of PKP PLK and SNCF-Reseau also shared their experiences in the field of railway investments. Both managers declared their mutual support on the European forum, as well as further deepening and extending the bilateral expert cooperation regarding the implementation of the European Rail Traffic Management System as well as asset management.
