The privatisation of the Romanian railway freight transport operator, CFR Marfă, will be finalised next year, a deadline established with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), declared Romanian Minister of Transport Ioan Rus.
“In the agreement with the IMF, the deadline is 2016”, declared the minister, answering a question on the procedure deadline.
At the beginning of February, Prime Minister Victor Ponta announced that the Minister of Transport wants to launch the procedure for selecting the consultant to resume the privatisation process of CFR Marfă.
“We are starting the selection of the consultant”, declared Ponta at the end of negotiations with the IMF, the European Commission (EC) and World Bank.
